Villa Kapo Eko

Since we have a privilge to enjoy the marvelous view on the clean sea and impressive mountains, as very important link in the eco-chain, we should contribute in leaving it this way, and to help the nature as much as we can.

Sea is one of the most sensible parts of the eco-system, and it is often used as trash containter for us humans. This causes sufferings for sea-word daily and we are personaly whitnessing climate changes and proofs of micro-plastic which is to be found all over the world.

This is why our aim in Villa Kapo is to live more consciously, consume more consciously and give our contribution in lowering waste level and reclycling, by following these principles:

  • Upon the arrival, our guests are given tote bag in order to avoid using plastic bags during your stay in Drašnice, because single use plastic bags are actualy one of the worst pollution materials, especially in the seas.

  • We avoid single use plastic in Villa Kapo, and we do not offer straws, single use plastic utilities as forks or plates. Toiletries are offered in big containers and can be easily refilled when needed, since our main aim is to reduce the use of single plastic.

  • All our guests can use compost pile for raw fruits and vegetables remains, which is located in the back garden and which provides us very valuable compost for improving fertility of our garden.

  • In the garage, you will find three containers: for plastic bottles, paper and other waste. Please separate them and leave them in the belonging containers, so we can forward it to bigger containers in Makarska.

  • When choosing cleaning products for Villa Kapo, we choose bio-products which do not harm plants and animals. We also thing in which packages we buy the products, allways trying to buy in paper or glass containers instead of plastic.

  • Please be careful to turn off air-condition when you leave your appartment and make sure to use your towells multiple times before exchanging it for fresh one which you can take anytime in the loundry room.

  • If you want to contribute for cleaner seas and richer sea-life, you can join one of the viral challenges #trashchallenge and collect plastic parts which you find on the beach and leave them in the trash bins, as this way we avoid these plastic parts to end up in our seas and endanger sea-live.
